Dr. Arthur Segall Jr. is a podiatrist who treats all manner of foot and ankle injuries. He utilizes the latest techniques and equipment to return patients to the activities they love as quickly and safely as possible. He takes the time to provide his patients with valuable guidance to help them prevent re-injury.
Dr. Segall received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. In 1991, he received his doctorate in podiatric medicine from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami Shores, Florida. He completed his internship and residency training at Hialeah Hospital and Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, Florida. Thereafter, Dr. Segall completed an orthopedic fellowship in foot and ankle trauma and reconstructive surgery in Liestal, Switzerland.
He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM) and received his board certification in foot surgery from the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (now called the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, or ABFAS). Dr. Segall is a former nationally certified wound care specialist.
Before joining South Florida Orthopedic Group, Dr. Segall was the owner and operator of Segall Foot & Ankle with offices in Broward and Dade counties.
Dr. Segall is an adjunct professor at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine, teaching third and fourth year podiatric medical students. He also serves as a clinical instructor at Westside Regional Medical Center and Northwest Medical Center residency programs. He formerly served as chief of staff for the Department of Podiatric Surgery and Medicine at Memorial Regional Hospital South, formally known as Hollywood Medical Center.
Dr. Segall is often called upon to perform in-service lectures for many of the local hospitals, community organizations, and insurance companies to help prevent injuries before they occur as well as what to expect when treating most foot and ankle injuries.
He has served leadership roles in many local professional associations, including Make-A-Wish Southern Florida, Boys and Girls Club of Broward County, and the Friends of 440 Scholarship Fund that aids academically deserving youths of injured workers.
In his spare time, Dr. Segall enjoys playing basketball and keeping up with his poetry, which has been published most recently by the National Library of Poetry in A Voyage to Remember.
